Read about the upcoming changes to GWO training

Global Wind Organisation (GWO) training standards are being updated. These changes come into effect from September 10th 2026. The changes are being made to introduce training which is participant led based on their experience and to have a better reflection on industry standards and best practices.
The changes cover many of the training standards delivered by 360 Safety & Training including:
Working at Height
Working at Height Refresher
First Aid Refresher
Fire Awareness Refresher
Manual Handling Refresher
Combined Working at Height & Manual Handling
Combined Working at Height & Manual Handling Refresher
Advanced Rescue Training Hub
Advanced Rescue Training Nacelle, Tower & Basement
Please click here to download our easy to follow guide on the changes.
What’s Coming In:
Advanced Rescue Training Refresher: Both Hub and Nacelle, Tower & Basement modules will now have 1 day refresher courses per module. This will reduce the amount of time spent on advanced rescue training for experienced technicians.
Basic Safety Training Refresher (Working at Height, First Aid, Fire Awareness, and Manual Handling): Refresher training will now be scenario based and allows for the training to be pitched at the participant’s knowledge level. This will benefit more experienced technicians who have completed several rounds of training on previous occasions.
What’s Coming Out:
Combined Working at Height & Manual Handling (and Refresher): These modules are now discontinued and must be taken as standalone modules.
Advanced Rescue Training Combining Working at Height and Manual Handling Refresher: Working at Height training will no longer be able to be refreshed at the same time as Advanced Rescue Training. These must be taken as standalone modules.
Advanced Rescue Training Single Rescuer: These standalone modules are now discontinued. The single rescuer elements will now be covered in the ART initial and new refresher modules.
How This Effects Participants:
Your Advanced Rescue Training must be in date on September 10th. If it is not, you will need to attend an initial course.
Advanced Rescue Single Rescuer will have an expiry date applied in line with your current Advanced Rescue qualification.
Streamlined, and in many cases, shorter refresher training
These changes will come into place from September 10th 2026.
